Linguistics for natural language processing

Linguistics for Natural Langugae Processing is an introduction to modern Linguistics. You will be introduced to the science that studies natural language as a cognitive system by exploring different subsystems of Language such as Morphology, Phonology, Syntax, Semantics and Pragmatics, as well as an introduction to Corpus Linguistics.

This course is specifically designed for those students that have little or no background in Linguistics. The course will offer the necessary basic tools to work on language issues computationally.
